Call Me Back

Facades scanning in one day

Ergo-Design supports the digitization of Factories, plants in the Process Industries & Construction and Architecture using 3D laser scanning.

An example of this is the growing activity prewar building on the Bloemsingel in Groningen. The handcrafted wall drawings of the building are outdated and incomplete. The UMCG as building owner wants to update the drawings and digitizing for building and adjustments.

Dion B.V. is an external facilitator for UMCG Facility Management department. Dion has got the assignment from UMCG to update and digitize the current drawings.
Ergo-Design is asked to support this process by measuring the actual situation. With our 3D laser scanner we captured all 8 facades in one day. Next step was creating a scan model (pointcloud) per facade which forms an underlayer for the accurate digitization process. All information is now ‘up to date’ and forms a solid base for future developments. ‘Dion is very satisfied about the project and the results. Considered is to use the technique also in other projects in the near future’, according to Ronald Muis, drawing coordinator at Dion.
